Joining The GalleryDue to the amount of demand for galleries and the time it takes to set up accounts, a one time $5 fee is charged. This can be paid via paypal.If you are an artist, and would like to know how to join us, please read the RULES first Then click on the Paypal button to pay the $5 fee
then write to info@art-cards.org. Please include your full name, and if you use an email address such as AOL or hotmail please be aware that they will TRASH form mail if your security settings are high. Either set it so you can receive form mail, or provide us with another email address to use so you will receive the information.
The Ebay Group (FREE)If you would like to join the eBay group, go to eBay and log on. Go to "Community", "Groups" and seach for ACEO - then join!
Once you join you will be sent details such as your login name and your password. Your login name will always be related to your own name for ease of remembering. The password you are given is a temporary one and should be changed as soon as possible. Go to the gallery web page at http://www.art-cards.org/gallery/gallery2 Top right side of the page is a "Login" link. Click this link. Put in your Login and the password that was given to you. Remember - both Login and Password are case sensitive, if you use a small letter where you should use a capital it will tell you that you have used an incorrect password. Now you will see that the Login has become "Logout".
Login. Click on "Your account" On the left of the screen you now have a menu - click on "change password". Please use a safe password - one that incorporates both numbers and letters is best, and make sure it isn't anything to do with your name (which might be guessed at). This is important WRITE YOUR LOGIN AND PASSWORD DOWN! One of the requests we get most often is "I have lost my login and password". If you can remember your password you can ask the system to retrieve it for you. For this you need to remember your login, and have an current email on the system so that it can send you your password. Please at least write down your Login!
You could wander through the album, visiting and commenting on the varied art there until you found your own album. But the easiest way to find your album is to use the "search" function. To get to the "search" screen press the link that says "Art Cards, Originals and Editions" which is just below the word "Gallery" on the left side of the screen. This will take you to the main gallery page. Put in your name or the name of your album and hit "enter". That should bring up your album, as well as anywhere you have left comments. Click on your highlighted picture to open your album. When you login there is also a link "Your Album" Login. Find your album. Look to the left of the screen - there is a menu there, Click on "Add Items" On the next screen you can browse your computer for the file you want to upload (ACEO jpg or gif files only please!), select the file, add a caption for the file. You can upload up to 5 files at a time.
Login. On the left side menu "Edit Album" Your "short description" which is what shows on the main gallery page with the link into your album, goes in the "summary" section. Please keep it short. You can include a banner (using HTML) and links if you wish.
Login. On the left side menu "Edit Album" Your "Description" is put in the "Description" box. You can make it as long as you like, put in your artists bio, links to your own page, even offer your cards for trade or sale if you like. Login. On the left side menu "Edit Album" There is a section there for "Keywords". This is only for the search engine and will not show on your gallery. Please be sensible about using these. Only use keywords that really do related to your gallery. For example - your name, the main mediums you work in, and, if you have a specific subject, such as cats or landscapes etc. Please email Eliza at eliza@art-cards.org and ask your question in as much detail as possible.
