Product review - Twinkling H2O

Twinkling H2O's are amazingly twinkling and bright watercolour paints. They are acid free, non toxic and light fast and there are so many things I like about them that it is hard to know where to start!

First, they come in so many delicious colours! I have no idea what the total count is, but there are a LOT and they are just yummy! They have names like "ginger peach" and "hot cinnamon" and colours you just don't normally see in water colour sets as well as your normal primary and secondary colours. How many times have you thought "you know, I could really use an "spiced pumpkin" colour here..."

Secondly, they have mica mixed in with the paint which catches the light and gives the paint it's shimmer. It's amazing! Unfortunately it doesn't show well on scanned paintings, but in real life they really do twinkle!

Thirdly, they are flexible. You can use them as watercolour or more like "poster paints". Add more water for the traditional transparent watercolour technique, or put them on thick for great dense coverage.

Next - they come in little individual pots, and this might sound crazy but I just adore the pots! I'm already thinking ahead as to what I can use these pots for once I've finished the paint inside! Of course, that will be a long way off, because, being watercolours, they are economical to use as well and will last a long time.

When buying the Twinkling H2O paints make sure you get a fine mist spray bottle as well. When you open the paint give it a light misting of water to "wake it up". Then you can use either a dry or wet brush, depending on technique.

I haven't had so much fun with watercolours for a long time. I'm really pleased with these paints!
